Interview With Former Scream The Dream Vocalist, Christian Chaoss

After two years, I finally got the chance to sit down with Christian Chaoss from Scream The Dream.. Or was in STD. The former vocalist has had ups and downs the last two years but is trying to succeed in the music industry, even though it tends to be really hard to do so. Hopefully things will get better for him.
The last few months, I have noticed issues with the band occurring and asked Christian if he cared to talk about what has been going on and his response was, “I’m not too sure. Just a lot of deceiving factors but alas, I am no longer in STD and as far as I’m concerned, they’re as good as done.”
Christian also said that he doesn’t think he will ever make up or be friends with the band ever again, which must mean things ended pretty bad but I asked Christian what he plans to do now that he’s going solo. His response was, “there’s always a way out the front door but sometimes climb through a window or two.. But something heavy awaits outside.” Which is very well said and I am looking forward to hearing what Christian can do.
In five years, he sees himself being bigger than anyone ever imagined. I really hope so. He has material that he’s working on but hasn’t recorded it yet. I’m so excited to hear some of his own things. His holidays will include eating food, presents and drinking beer.
His message to his friends, fans and ex-mates are: “I will actually be something one day and that I am trying my hardest to actually be something in the music industry that nobody’s going to f****** take me down and that for my ex mates to my friends that I love them they will always been my family will always be the ones I care about the most because they’re the ones that let the dream live on.”
I don’t know about you but I am very much looking forward to whatever Christian decides to do with his talents. Add him on Facebook and check him out. He’s a good guy and I wish him all the luck in the world and I can’t wait to hear some music.

Bitter Sweet Revenge Interview With Brandon Peters

I interviewed Brandon Peters of Bitter Sweet Revenge. :)
Brandon is the former frontman of Scream The Dream. Now he's the front man in Bitter Sweet Revenge. :)
I asked Brandon who the members were and he said "I'm actually going to keep all of my musicians personal for right now and not tell anyone until we actually have music on our page."
The band was formed by Brandon and a friend right after his departure from STD (Scream The Dream).
I asked Brandon about who influenced them and he said "It's different for all of us. Generally the style we are going for is like Black Veil Brides, Falling In Reverse, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance and Get Scared."
Every member of Bitter Sweet Revenge had been in serious bands prior to BSR.
Brandon realized he first wanted to be a musician when "About halfway through my 10th grade year. I met a band called LoveHateHero (Now broken up) and they were from my hometown. They were amazing musicians and amazing people and it was a really big inspiration to me to want to pursue it."
Brandon defines "music" as "Anything that makes a sound. I like to think that people believe the only way to make music is with an instrament and that's not really true. I mean what is it? Slipknot that uses trashcans or something like that in their music?"
In the next one to three years, Brandon's plan for the band is to release an album, begin touring and hopefully to be at the top of the music scene.
Brandon describes the music as "Ummmm poppy but mixed with a bit of heaviness at the same time. Diverse and very creative."
The songs are about real things that go on in their lives. "Whether it was a break up with a girl, family issues, over coming obstacles or working through our problems."
Brandon's live performance experience was that he shared the stage with Get Scared, Vampires Everywhere, Dr. Acula, Falling In Reverse, Winds Of Plague, Carnifex, The Great Commission, As Blood Runs Black, Impending Doom and many more.
I asked him what his musical background was and Brandon replied with "I grew up on alot of pop/alternative music and some punk. I'm a huge fan of The Clash. I also listened to alot of Green Day, Blink-182, My Chemical Romance (MCR) and Weezer growing up. I didn't even start listening to bands like Escape The Fate, Underoath and Pierce The Veil until after 10th grade basically."
If you liked this then you should like Bitter Sweet Revenge on Facebook. :) I promise you won't be disappointed. :)
Well Brandon, I wish you and the boys the best of luck in  your music career and hope I hear from you soon. :):):)

Surviving Day Interview with Jake Yandle

I interviewed Surviving Day's Jake Yandle.
Their members are: Colby Hardaway on guitar, Jeremy Richards slapping the bass, Bryce King also on guitar, Brandon Cooper on drums and Jake Yandle on vocals.
I asked Jake what made them want to start a band and Jake stated "Me and Colby started a long time ago and after a while, the band just slowly came together after gigs and just hanging out. It was me and Colby then Jeremy then Bryce then Brandon."
The bands that influenced Surviving Day are Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Sum 41 and Distubed.
This is not Jake and Colby's first band experience. "Me and Colby have been playing in a million bands together and we have played on stages with school bands and temporary bands but now we want to be on top."
I then asked Jake when they realized they wanted to be musicians and his responce was "For me, it was when I gave up on baseball and mom made me pick something. I chose guitar. Colby realized in 5th grade band and the rest at about the same time as that except Jeremy, he decided about a year and a half years ago when we told him to try out."
Jake describes "music" as "The blood that fills our hearts until we are so energetic that we just fucking run until we can't stop."
That was well said. :)
In the next one to three years, Surviving Day would like to go on tour as soon as possible, as well as have an album out. Then in about three years, they want to be playing every night and make life changing music.
Jake describes their music as "A bunch of kids playing really hardcore punk music right now. Lots of guitar and vocals and insane drums and bass."
The songs are about stuff that happens in their lives and they're sometimes made up or quotes.
"Well the band hasn't played a serious gig yet but we played on a small stage with all the bands except our drummer. We had a sub. It was fun until Colby sang 'Nightmare' and got to the wrong mic so I couldn't sing back up and another time with just me and a different band, the singer was also the guitarist and never sang a word, just played. So we got a bad review and I just walked off the stage that time."
Sounds like you've had quite a lot of experience with live audiences. :)
They all grew up on heavy metal, punk rock, all branches of southern rock, hard rock, scream and metal.
If you liked this then you should check out Surviving Day on Facebook and like them. :)
Well boys, I wish you the best of luck in your career and hope I hear from you as you make your way to the top!!! :):):)

Scream The Dream Interview With Donnie Shredzzz

I interviewed with Scream The Dream's Donnie Shredzzz. They're a band from California. :)
Their members are: Donnie Shredzzz on bass, Dominic Warman (Nicky War) on guitar, Emilio Mendez (Miolife) on guitar as well, Steven Gregory Poindexter II on drums and Christian Rich with vocals.
I asked what made him want to start a band, Donnie's responce was "Well they had already started the band without me because I was with another band at the time but we were all friends at some point and all played instraments so we started jamming and next thing ya know, we're here. Haha."
Donnie wasn't too inspired by just one person of musical talent but he said "If I had to say anyone, it would be Avenged Sevenfold. They were one of the first bands I listened to that made me want to pick up a guitar and learn. It was the same with Blink- 182. 'Damnit' was the first song I ever played on guitar."
I'm trying to learn to play that on my bass guitar. :)
Anyways back to the interview, I then asked if this was his first band experience and his reply was "Well me, Dominic (Nicky War) and Mio were in an old band together called ANH (A Natural High) and I was also in a band with Brandon called IRUNTRAINS about a year ago so this is the third band I've been in."
Wow!! Sounds super exciting! :D
Donnie realized he wanted to be a musician when he startd playing with all his close friends and had a good time doing it. "Who wouldn't want to do what they loved?"
I asked Donnie what he defined "music" as and his response was "I define music as art you can hear."
I then asked what his immediate music career goals are in the next one to three years. "Well me and Dominic have recently been talking about doing tours around the country and we want to make more merch and songs, of course."
It sounds like you guys have a lot of stuff planned. :)
Donnie describes his music to people as "Haha. That's always a tough one to do. I normally say it's kinda poppy with some heavy metal and like.. uh... rock and rolly. I guess... You just gotta see us live. Haha."
And what are the songs about?? "I know one of them is about fake people and uh another about love but to be honest, I don't really know. Haha. I just play the notes."
And you do a fine job with that. :)
I then asked him what their live preformance experience was and Donnie replied with "One of the most memorable live experiences I've had was playing in Hollywood with Black Veil Brides, Get Scared, Vampires Everywhere and Modern Day Escape. It was an amazing crowd and a full house and it was just a great show."
Donnie described his musical background as "My music background has always been punk and screamo. I've listened to it all my life. As far as instraments go, I know some piano, guitar, bass and a little bit of drums."
If you liked this then like Scream The Dream on Facebook. I hope to hear from them again soon. I wish them the best of luck on their career!!! :)

Look Out Below Interview With Jackson Rea

This is my first interview ever!! I hope I did okay!
I interviewed Jackson Rea of the band Look Out Below. And he was amazing. :)
The members are of course, Jackson Rea. He plays guitar, banjo, ukelele, percussions and vocals. There's also Gavin Spannbauer. He plays guitar, piano, does vocal and he's the sound guy.
I asked Jackson how the band form and his response was "I was dating a girl who had known Gavin for quite sometime and she knew how passionate I am about music so she introduced us. Within hours, the two of us were together... And been playing ever since."
That is actually very awesome. :) I asked Jackson who they were influenced by and his responded with "The list would be really long but I think Gavin and I can both agree that one of our biggest influences musically is Mayday Parade."
I then asked Jackson if this was their first band experience and as it turns out, Jackson was in a band in seventh grade called Deception. It wasn't exactly his best idea. Gavin had been making hip hop beats for quite sometime so it seems they know a lot about music and working with others.
By this time, I was quite dazzled with Look Out Below. It was just quite a few years ago when they realized they wanted to be musicians.
And what do they define "music" as? "Music is happiness... Music is coffee and cigarettes."
Gavin defined "music" as: "Music is my drug... I need it... All the time, everyday. If I don't get my fix, I go through withdrawals. Have you ever seen an emotional teenage musician go through music withdrawals? Not a pretty sight."
Their immediate music career goals in the next one to three years are tour, get signed, release an album or two and a few E.P's.
They usually try not to describe their music but instead they just play it for them. I think that is truly amazing. :):):)
Look out Below spends most summers playing on the streets and they play tons of shows in Los Olivos, California; which is a tiny town.
And finally, in the last four years, Mr. Jackson has taught himself to play well over twenty six instraments.
If you liked this then check out the band, Look Out Below on Facebook. I'm looking forward to another interview with them as their career takes off!!! :)
